Job summary

R.R. Cassidy is seeking an Assistant Estimator in Beaumont, TX to support the estimating team with cost estimates for construction projects, including quantity take-offs and pricing. This role requires travel to Beaumont, Monday through Friday.

You will work with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure estimates are complete, competitive, and aligned with project requirements; 1–3 years of experience acceptable; degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 1–3 years of estimating, construction, or related experience (internship or entry-level acceptable).
• Basic understanding of construction materials, methods, terminology.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills; analytical problem-solving.
• Must meet company vehicle driving privileges per policy.
• Beaumont, TX office; Monday–Friday 7 AM–5 PM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for all project phases.
• Perform quantity take-offs using drawings and specs.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Maintain cost databases and historical pricing.
• Review bids to identify scope and risks.
• Support bid proposals, budgets, and cost comparisons.
• Assist handoff to operations and procurement after award.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
• Maintain pricing data confidentiality.
