The Country Club of Birmingham is seeking an Assistant Equipment Manager to lead and support the maintenance team responsible for turf equipment and vehicle fleets. You will train, coach, and assist the Equipment Mechanic and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing equipment, maintaining inventory and parts, managing preventive maintenance, and keeping accurate records.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate professionally with staff, vendors, members, and guests.
• Knowledge of turf equipment diagnostics, hydraulics, and engines.
• Ability to fabricate replacement parts and components.
• Ability to read manuals and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
• Experience with shop tools and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach maintenance team in turf equipment care and inventory.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain all fleet equipment.
• Manage preventive maintenance program and parts inventory.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe shop.
• Record-keeping using Tasktracker or similar system.
• Assist budget tracking and cost monitoring.
