Job summary

Fresno State Athletic Corporation is seeking an Assistant Equipment Manager to help run the athletic equipment room for assigned sports. The role may include travel with teams and requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

The incumbent will support procurement, inventory, and equipment handling, with emphasis on compliance with NCAA and Pac-12 rules, and interaction with diverse staff and athletes.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of sports equipment and facilities needs.
  • Basic knowledge of procurement practices and principles.
  • Basic knowledge of NCAA and Pac-12 rules as they apply to equipment.
  • Effective writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work nights and/or weekends; supervise subordinates.
  • Move and handle equipment in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Support equity and diversity commitments; maintain professional attitude.
  • Commitment to integrity and compliance with university and NCAA regulations.

Hiring Salary: $3,033.33/month. This is a full-time, non-exemptposition.

The Fresno State Athletic Corporation provides a comprehensivebenefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans,participation in the California Public Employees Retirement System(CalPERS), and sick and vacation time. Job Summary

Under the direction of the Associate Athletic Director forEquipment, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting with theoperation of the athletic equipment room(s) for the assignedsports. The sport assignment will be assigned at a later date. Thisposition works a flexible work schedule which may include eveningsand weekends and possible travel with teams to away events.

Key Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of experience as an Athletic EquipmentManager or Attendant at a collegiate institution
  • Experience working with computerized Inventory program, e-mail,and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with inventory control and maintenance
