Hazen and Sawyer is seeking entry-level engineers for our Raleigh, NC office. As part of our design and process teams, you will work on water and wastewater projects, including drinking water/wastewater/reuse treatment facility upgrades, conveyance systems, wellfields, stormwater management, water resources, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including sampling studies, condition assessments, process modeling, hydraulics, and design reports.
- Manage data for process modeling and design.
- Attend client and internal project management meetings.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to select equipment.
- Support multiple projects from planning through construction.
- Participate in fieldwork and site visits (mostly in-state).
- Add responsibilities as required by the specific position.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
- Strong interest in the water/wastewater industry.
- Strong communication skills, self‑motivation, organization, and attention to detail.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience within the water/wastewater industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- EIT certification.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering.
- Conducts self-quality reviews before submitting work for additional QA/QC.
