Job summary

The Arc Mercer is seeking an Assistant Employment Specialist to help individuals with developmental disabilities find and sustain meaningful employment. You will provide job readiness training, career exploration, and on-the-job coaching to promote independence and workplace success.

You will collaborate with employers to create inclusive workplaces and support needs while engaging in ongoing coaching and support for job retention and advancement.

The Assistant Employment Specialist provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities in securing and maintaining meaningful employment. This role involves assisting with job readiness training, career exploration, employer engagement, and on-the-job coaching to promote workplace success and independence.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be proficient in computer skills and data entry.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work independently and part of a team.

Pre-Employment Requirements
