Dormont Manufacturing Co in El Paso, Texas is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee electrical construction projects under the guidance of a Project or Group Manager. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities include contacting vendors, conducting employee evaluations, planning projects, and ensuring compliance with customer expectations. Competitive benefits are offered along with the opportunity for growth.
Assistant Project Managers, under the guidance of the Project or Group Manager, are responsible for providing general management for electrical construction projects and overseeing staff. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD is preferred, as is a general knowledge of electrical components and applications.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of 1‑2 years of experience in electrical construction, project management, or a related field. Experience with electrical construction projects and understanding of electrical components and applications is preferred. Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is highly desirable.
Travel: 15‑20%.
Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; however, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
