NYC Parks is actively seeking an Assistant Electrical Engineer to support electrical distribution and lighting across city facilities, parks, and recreation spaces. You will develop drawings, estimates, and specifications for diverse projects, coordinate with DOT Street Lighting, and manage projects through to turnover.
The role requires a bachelor’s (or a master’s with substitution) in electrical engineering, strong AutoCAD and MS Office skills, and familiarity with NYC codes.

Fees: Hired candidates will be subject to a processing fee between $40.00 to $101.00 based on the salary range of title. Hired candidates who are not currently employed by the City will be subject to a $104.50 background check fee.

A master’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university can only be used to substitute for one year of full-time satisfactory work experience in electrical engineering. A degree in any other engineering area, or in any engineering technology area, is not acceptable.
