Job summary

Chroma Early Learning Academy is seeking an Assistant Childcare Teacher to assist the Lead Teacher in daily caregiving and to maintain a safe, engaging classroom aligned with Georgia DECAL standards.

The role supports curriculum implementation, observes developmental milestones, and communicates with families while adhering to health, safety, and licensing guidelines. A patient, team-oriented candidate with a passion for early childhood education is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Ability to meet all requirements under Georgia’s Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
• Passion for early childhood education and the social-emotional well-being of young children.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in the day-to-day care of the children in the classroom.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment aligned with Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards.
• Support the implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum that promotes sensory exploration, early communication, and gross motor development.
• Observe and document developmental milestones and communicate regularly with families.
• Follow all licensing and program guidelines related to health, safety, and sanitation.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training required for Quality Rating compliance.
