Job summary

Lakeshore Beverage is seeking an Assistant Driver to support delivery operations across assigned routes. This is a union position governed by the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), including commission eligibility as defined therein.

The role requires a Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and compliance with DOT regulations. You will be responsible for timely product delivery, merchandising, and maintaining safety standards on routes in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma/GED.
• Class A CDL required.
• DOT certificate up-to-date.
• Driving record acceptable to the Company.
• Personal auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company programs to ensure safe, timely delivery and maximize sales.
• Conduct daily Pre-Tip vehicle inspections and ensure tools are available on the truck.
• Move product into stores, restaurants and bars and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
• Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all DOT regulations.
• Follow the approved delivery structure and identify spot sales opportunities.
• Work with the Delivery Manager and Team Leader for coaching and training in the field.
• Complete deliveries within 12 hours or less to comply with DOT requirements.

Assistant Driver# Assistant DriverLSB-Halsted St - Chicago, IL 60609## OverviewSalary Range$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 Commission/yearPosition TypeFull Time## DescriptionLakeshore Beverage is seeking an Assistant Driver to support delivery operations across assigned routes.This is a union position governed by the terms of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), including commission eligibility as defined therein.This position is accountable for the timely delivery of all products and the execution of merchandising standards across an assigned route, ensuring product availability, proper placement, and strong brand presentation at all customer locations.**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** Adhere to Company programs and policies that will result in the safe execution of timely delivery, maximized sales, and minimized returns.* Conduct a daily Pre-Tip inspection of his/her assigned vehicle.* Ensures all required tools and equipment are available on the truck.* Move product into stores, restaurants and bars.* Rotate products already in inventory inside the store to maintain freshness.* Maintain a clean driving record.* Adhere to all DOT regulations.* Follow the approved delivery structure and processes and will identify and fulfill spot sales opportunities.* Maintain product freshness and move product when necessary.* Will participate in “work with” and “ride with” days with the Delivery Manager and Delivery Team Leader to obtain coaching and training opportunities in the field.* Must maintain a pace of work that enables drivers to complete their deliveries in 12 hours or less due to DOT regulations.**SAFETY**Due to the physical requirements, as well as the need to maintain a high level of continual alertness in the work environment, this is a safety-sensitive position.## QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS* Must be at least 21 years of age* High School diploma/GED* Must have a driving record acceptable to the Company* Class A CDL required* DOT certificate up-to-date* Personal auto insurance
