Job summary

Expand Energy is seeking an Assistant Driller to join our field operations team. The role supports rig operations in one of the following states: Ohio, West Virginia, or Louisiana, with a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

You will assist the Driller, oversee crew activities, and ensure adherence to company policies and safety procedures while maintaining rig efficiency and control of costs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of drilling experience.
• Must complete Health, Safety and Environment Orientation and Rig Start Up Training; Well Control Certification; Supervisor Level; Drilling Only; and HERDIT.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and training for work crews on rigging up/rigging down and day-to-day operations.
• Maintain mud weight and properties and manage drilling fluid transfers.
• Assist the Driller in supervising the rig crew.
• Communicate with the Rig Manager and Driller to improve HSE, production, and control daily costs per the operating budget.
