Job summary

Parkridge Specialty Care in Pleasant Hill, IA, is partnering with Care Initiatives to recruit an ADON - RN. This leadership role supports the DON in directing the nursing department and delivering high-quality resident care across our 90‑bed skilled nursing community.

You will lead rounds, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor RNs, and drive quality improvement while maintaining compassionate care. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered."

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Iowa.
• Current, valid CPR Certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long‑term care regulations and laws.
• A desire to learn and grow as part of a quality focused clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the nursing department to gain experience and potential advancement.
• Conduct regular rounds to monitor care delivery and address concerns with proposed solutions.
• Enforce policies and guide the team, fostering personal and team growth.
• Support and coach RNs to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Manage administrative functions to improve department efficiency and growth.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols at all times.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation with other leadership team members.

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON - RN)

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities
