Job summary

The-Boca-Raton is seeking an Assistant Marina Dockmaster in Boca Raton, FL to support daily marina operations and guest experiences. You will work under the Dockmaster and supervise Front Desk Agents, Dockhands, and Mates, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating scheduling, training, and performance reviews, handling dockage billing, and operating the resort fleet when required.

Qualifications

  • Must possess USCG Merchant Mariner Credential: Master, minimum 25 Tons.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License- Class E.
  • Drug free and prepared to enter Maritime Consortium.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience commanding inspected passenger vessels inshore/near shore/offshore.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Marina related position preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily operation of the marina.
  • Supervise Front Desk Agents, Dockhands and Mates.
  • Manage scheduling and training activities under the Dockmaster.
  • Operate resort vessels as needed.
  • Maintain safety protocols and Coast Guard regulations.

Job description

Summary

The ideal candidate will have an outstanding attitude and be motivated to ensure the member, guest, and passenger experience are above expectations while always keeping safety awareness in mind. This individual must be flexible with the constant day-to-day activities that arise. Under the supervision of the Marina Dockmaster, the Assistant Marina Dockmaster is instrumental in assisting with the daily operation of our Marina. They must possess strong leadership qualities as they will be managing multiple marina positions including Front Desk Agents, Dockhands, and Mates.

Essential Functions

Job duties include, although are not limited to:

Customer Service- Very high expectations to provide our resort Members and guests with memorable experiences. Quick problem-solving skills required in a Marina Management position.

Computer Skills- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) proficiency required. Will need to operate various hotel/marina software. Able to complete any computer tasks given in an efficient manner.

Responsible for billing our annual guests their monthly dockage, electrical, and incidental charges.

Responsible for upkeeping our weekly charter commission logs.

Inventory marina supplies and reorder as necessary.

Assist the Dockmaster with scheduling, training and performance reviews.

Operate the resort’s fleet of vessels when necessary.

Coast Guard Regulations- Knowledgeable on all regulations and safety drills needed to operate a Commercial vessel.

Available to work on weekends and holidays.

Ability to complete goals and targets given in a timely manner.

Ability to work outside on a regular basis; regularly 90+ degree weather with high humidity.

Internal Relationships

Reports to Dockmaster

Manages Front Desk Agents, Dockhands and Mates

External Relationships

Has regular contact with guests and members of the resort, as well as Directors and GMs of various resort departments.

Qualifications
