Job summary

Hulcher Services in Port Allen, LA is seeking an Assistant Division Manager with a Class A CDL and heavy equipment experience to advance into operations leadership. You will work with Division Managers, supervise field crews, and manage equipment and safety.

This full-time role offers overtime, travel up to 75%, weekly pay, medical insurance, paid training, and a Leadership Development Program designed to prepare you for division management.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum one year of heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
• Previous leadership, crew lead, military, or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 emergency response environment.
• Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays when responding to emergency operations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising field crews during railroad, industrial, and emergency response operations.
• Lead crews safely at job sites and within the division facility.
• Promote and enforce company safety policies and operational procedures.
• Assign daily work activities and monitor crew productivity.
• Coach, mentor, and develop employees through hands-on leadership.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Help ensure equipment and facilities remain operational and ready for deployment.
• Partner with Division leadership to meet customer schedules and operational objectives.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
• Learn budgeting, planning, scheduling, and overall division management responsibilities.

What You'll Do
