THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports construction and maintenance projects by overseeing materials testing, inspections, and documentation. You will help ensure that all materials used on transportation projects meet engineering standards and follow required specifications. As an Assistant District Materials Manager, you will perform the following duties:

• Material Compliance: Review materials used on projects to ensure they meet standards and specifications
• Design Approval: Evaluate and approve mix designs and coordinate decisions with district leadership
• Quality Oversight: Monitor quality control plans and test results for asphalt, concrete, and aggregate materials

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• You will work closely with vendors and work hours may change based on vendor availability.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, ad-hoc after successful completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Montoursville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $73,859 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
