The Internal Revenue Service is seeking an experienced attorney for their FOIL and Civil Litigation Unit. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of legal experience and possess strong communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities include responding to legal requests and representing the office in court. This role offers a salary ranging from $97,000 to $134,000 depending on experience.
Our FOIL and Civil Litigation Unit responds to Freedom of Information Law requests, civil subpoenas, inter-agency and in- and out-of-state law enforcement requests for records. The FCLU is the liaison with the New York City Law Department and coordinates representation of current and former ADAs for civil depositions related to State or Federal lawsuits.
