Qualifications

• Juris doctor degree and admission to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
• Some training in computers helpful; continuing legal education required.
• Knowledge of state substantive and procedural law and rules of evidence.

Responsibilities

• Assists police in the investigation of criminal offenses and provides legal opinions.
• Conducts legal research and writes opinions; drafts criminal complaints and warrants.
• Evaluates evidence relative to charges and search warrants; interviews witnesses.
• Represents the Commonwealth in prosecutions at hearings, trials, and appeals.
• Represents the Commonwealth in Post-Conviction Relief Act hearings and federal appeals.
• Interacts with law enforcement agencies and the public.
