Job summary

Ohio State University seeks an Assistant Director for the Student-Athlete Support Services Office (SASSO). The role leads instructional efforts to improve academic outcomes for underprepared and underrepresented student-athletes and designs strategic plans with a developmental approach.

You will supervise full-time staff, manage a caseload, coach students, and drive professional development while collaborating with the Undergraduate Education team on exams prep and tutor programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
• Five (5) years experience required.
• Experience with postsecondary students.

Responsibilities

• Oversee learning strategies for underprepared and underrepresented student-athletes.
• Design and implement instructional plans for academic success.
• Lead a team of full-time SASSO staff and coordinate professional development.
• Coach and provide feedback to a caseload of student-athletes daily.
• Collaborate with undergraduate education and related teams to support exams prep and tutoring initiatives.
• Address performance concerns and drive continuous program improvement.
