Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an Admissions Advisor to guide prospective students through the application process and coordinate outreach activities.

You will work with faculty and staff to ensure applicants follow the correct program path, support enrollment growth, and travel for recruitment efforts across the territory. Excellent communication and data-analysis skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; higher education administration preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in student admissions or academic administration.
  • Willingness to travel to recruitment events and partner locations.
  • Strong understanding of admissions processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and student information systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all admissions-related advising through email, meetings and by phone, from application submission to enrollment.
  • Counsel prospective students to guide them through the enrollment funnel and iteration of communication.
  • Link inquiries and applicants to academic departments, admissions staff, and other departments as appropriate.
  • Problem-solve student issues related to the application process and yield optimization.
  • Organize outreach events, campus tours, and information sessions (virtual and in person).
  • Recruit and engage students to meet enrollment goals through various yield activities.
  • Maintain accurate applicant records in admissions and CRM systems and contribute to reporting.

Job Summary

Assist prospective students through the application process, confirming they are applying to the right program for them. Directly answer prospective student questions, with faculty support only where appropriate. Identify and follow through on stalled applications. Congratulate acceptances and work to get to deposit by answering questions and/or directing questions to program leadership only where appropriate. Staff programmatic events/webinars or grouped programmatic public speaking events.

Essential Functions (Key Roles & Responsibilities)
  • Manage all admissions-related advising through email, meetings and by phone focusing on the application submit through final enrollment stage of the funnel (including acceptance and deposit).
  • Cultivate and build relationships with prospective students through counseling and provide a high-level of customer service.
  • Establish linkages between inquiries and applicants to academic departments, admissions staff, and other IHP departments when appropriate and based on programmatic frameworks.
  • Problem-solve all student-specific issues related to the application process, focusing on accepted student questions directly impacting yield rate.
  • Organizes and participates in outreach events, campus tours, and information sessions (virtual and in person) to support the enrollment funnel.
  • Responsible for direct student recruitment and yield activities to support enrollment goals and growth while aligning with a centralized admissions model
  • Meets or exceeds KPIs as outlined below and weekly productivity metrics as determined by admissions leadership and SLAs, updated annually.
  • Staff programmatic events/webinars or grouped programmatic public speaking and student recruitment events.
  • Consistently meet or exceed student satisfaction and customer service measures.
  • Maintain accurate applicant records within admissions and CRM systems, monitor recruitment metrics, and contribute to enrollment reporting, forecasting, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

    • Accept to deposit rate (Yield)
    • Event Metrics: Attendance and event intended outcomes (application completion, or yield rate)
    • Meet or Exceed Enrollment goals for designated programs
Qualifications (degree, work experience)

Bachelor's Degree Required, high education administration preferred.

3-5 years of experience in student admissions or academic administration.

This role requires regular travel to recruitment events and partner locations. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to travel independently throughout the assigned territory.
