Job summary

Breaking Ground in New York, NY seeks an Assistant Director in the Connect to Care program to support the Program Director in managing street outreach and ensure high-quality client engagement.

The role supervises 4-6 staff, coordinates with partners and internal teams, and maintains performance reports. LMSW is required; 2+ years supervisory experience and experience with homeless populations are preferred.

Qualifications

• NYS licensed LMSW required.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with 24/7 programs and homeless populations preferred.
• Knowledge of Housing First, motivational interviewing, harm reduction.
• Ability to engage diverse stakeholders and support staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable with databases.

Responsibilities

• Manage social service delivery including program oversight, staff supervision, and training.
• Manage 4-6 direct reports.
• Liaise with external stakeholders including service partners, government, community agencies.
• Oversee delivery of services and linkage to case management; make referrals as appropriate.
• Collaborate with internal teams including street outreach, central intake, compliance, research and evaluation.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on outcomes and data tracking.
• Establish and maintain productive working relationships with proactive problem-solving.
• Some after hours on-call required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
