Job summary

Western Illinois University is seeking an Assistant Director for Sports Performance in Macomb, IL. The role focuses on strength and conditioning and nutrition support for football and another intercollegiate sport, under the supervision of the Assistant AD for Sports Performance.

The position requires a bachelor's degree, NSCA-CSCS or CSCCa-SCCC certification, and at least two years of collegiate experience. Preference is given to candidates with NCAA knowledge and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• NSCA-CSCS and/or CSCCa-SCCC certification.
• Two years of experience at the collegiate level.
• Knowledge of NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and procedures.
• Ability to organize, manage, and supervise a department unit.
• Commitment to gender equity and diversity.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics rules and student-athlete experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and training in sports performance to football and one additional sport.
• Supervise and train student-athletes in strength and conditioning and assist with nutrition.
• Collaborate under the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance to manage program operations.
