Budgeted Salary Range: The expected pay range for this position working in a hybrid capacity is $100,445 - $106,000 per year.
This compensation represents the job market pay range and may be adjusted depending on the geographic work location.
Department Summary: Stanford’s Online High School is an accredited, diploma-offering, highly selective independent high school, offering courses for grades 7-12. The mission of Stanford Online High School (OHS) is to foster a worldwide community of intellectually adventurous students and teachers. The Online High School is also the home of Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies (SPCS), which provides a diverse array of academic enrichment programs that take place mostly in the summer but also throughout the academic year. Held both online and on-campus, SPCS programs serve intellectually curious pre-college students from around the world.
Position Summary: Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies seeks an Assistant Director, SPCS Admissions & Enrollment, who, under the supervision of the Associate Director, SPCS Admission & Enrollment, will drive year-around enrollment strategy, manage the end-to-end admissions, financial aid and enrollment lifecycles for four pre-college summer enrichment programs: Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes, Summer Humanities Institutes, Stanford Mathematics Camp, and Stanford AI4ALL, as well as provide enrollment management during the academic year for the Stanford Math Circle program.
Success in this role requires mastering and executing the strategic enrollment goals across all SPCS programs.
Examples of role-specific core duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the annual recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training and supervision of seasonal application reviewers.
  • Serve as an Admissions Committee member and execute post-committee course placements, allocate financial aid, and manage waitlist conversions.
  • Prioritize, delegate and complete Slate projects throughout the admission lifecycle, e.g. application and portal updates, testing of application workflows and logic, manage application fee waiver review, and supporting program decision releases.
  • Coordinate the review and distribution of financial aid for Stanford Math Circle while collaborating with Marketing, Records and Academic Operations to establish and implement annual registration timelines and communications.
In addition to the minimum requirements, the following skills and experience are preferred:
  • Prior experience in admissions and/or financial aid in academic enrichment programs or higher education
  • Prior experience with Slate (CRM)
  • Ability to work extended or non-standard hours based on project or business needs
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally travel
Responsibilities: Core Duties:
  • Read, evaluate, recommend and advocate to the Admission Committee on which undergraduate and graduate applicants to consider for admission based on current university priorities.
  • Act as project manager on medium to large sized projects/programs by establishing and executing project plans, timelines, tasks, and objectives.
  • Conduct informational sessions for internal and external communities on a variety of subjects, (i.e., student life, research, internships, athletics, admissions), based on university priorities.
  • Manage assigned geographic territory by researching, compiling and analyzing various demographics data. Create proposal for outreach and present findings to management with recommendations
  • Further develop and strengthen relationships with secondary or university personnel, professional organizations, students, parents and alumni.
  • Serve as a resource to other departments; represent unit/department at activities and events, meetings, committees and conferences.
  • Responsible for the administration or management of a specific program and/or program budget.
  • May supervise the work of other staff.
Minimum Education And Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
