Job summary

UNC-Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill seeks an Assistant Director of Residential Conduct and Care to serve as the primary case manager and administrator of the Carolina Housing conduct system. The role leads the departmental conduct committee, oversees the conduct process, and serves as the lead trainer for hearing officers within Carolina Housing.

Qualifications

• A minimum of four years of full-time professional experience.
• Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required; for candidates demonstrating comparable independent educational or instructional activities associated with the delivery and/or management of student support functions, will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and at least 1 year of relevant experience in substitution.
• A Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, or College Student Development or related degree is preferred.
• Live-on residence life experience is preferred.
• Non-clinical case management, Conduct administration, and maxient, Advocate or other database management experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary case manager and administrator of the Carolina Housing conduct system.
• Lead the departmental conduct committee and oversee the conduct process; train hearing officers.
• Liaise with the Office of Student Conduct and the Office of the Dean of Students to manage complex student cases.
• Supervise 3–4 full-time Community Directors and oversee ~60 undergraduate student employees.
