Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Recreation Management, Sports Administration, or related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree with two years of relevant experience.
• New York State driver’s license, CPR/First Aid, CPO certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a calendar of intramural events that is inclusive, safe, and diverse.
• Recruit and manage CIA mascot STING and related branding.
• Forecast, monitor, and allocate budgets for athletics, intramurals, fitness center, and pool.
• Oversee CIA Steels intercollegiate athletic program activities and logistics.
• Oversee fitness center operations, equipment maintenance, and scheduling.
• Ensure pool is maintained and compliant with health standards.
• Train and supervise student workers; assign tasks and schedules.
• Review policies for athletics, intramurals, fitness, and pool.
• Use data and feedback to evaluate and improve programs.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate part-time professional staff, coaches, instructors, lifeguards.
• Build partnerships with CIA and community for student engagement and wellness.
• Assist Director and Campus Life with SRC management and services.
• Support School and Department programs as requested.
