Pay Philosophy

The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. The full salary range reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and offers opportunities for growth as employees develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual may include a compensation plan with commission and/or bonus earnings, which vary based on multiple factors outlined in the plan.

Note: This position may have in-office requirements depending on the candidate's location. This is a range posting; the level of the position offered will be based on skills and experience at the manager's discretion.

The Property & Specialty Program Delivery team seeks a Consultant or Assistant Director to contribute to USRM profit and growth goals within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include independently managing state implementations to support nationwide pricing program rollouts across the Homeowners, Landlord, Condo, and Umbrella lines of business. Tasks involve defining product scope, ensuring compliance with state regulations, executing analytical and technical tasks, and communicating with stakeholders for end-to-end state rollouts.

The foundational knowledge gained during Delivery Analyst roles provides a solid pathway for advancement within Product or USRM.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and execute moderate to complex state implementations of personal lines property & specialty insurance pricing programs.
  • Gather, document, and communicate product requirements to stakeholders, ensuring accurate implementation.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the pricing program and assigned states, influencing decisions and strategy.
  • Lead cross-functional workstreams and manage projects of moderate to high complexity.
  • Conduct analyses to support business decisions.
  • Educate IT and business partners on requirements and the impact of pricing changes.
  • Manage project timelines, identify risks, develop contingency plans, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Update leadership and stakeholders on project status and address concerns.
  • Mentor less experienced analysts as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Technical aptitude with experience in SAS and/or SQL, Excel, PowerBI, and data visualization.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and tools quickly.
  • A proactive approach to process improvement.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to influence others.
  • Knowledge of insurance pricing, especially in Personal Lines Property/Specialty or Product Management, is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information management, economics, or a related quantitative field; Master’s preferred.
  • Typically 4-6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in data query languages and emerging technologies; data modeling skills are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of data concepts, strategies, and architectures.
