Job summary

Yavapai County in Prescott, AZ, seeks a Director-level administrator to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and coordinating complex administrative services within the Development Services Department.

Under general direction of the Director, this role involves guiding professional, technical, and clerical staff and presenting findings to the Board of Supervisors, Planning and Zoning Commission, and other bodies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or closely related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible public administration experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Arizona driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct activities of staff in data analysis for planning and land use.
• Coordinate department activities with other agencies and jurisdictions.
• Prepare and present complex studies and reports to the Board and commissions.
• Evaluate staff performance and interpret policy with the Department Director.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
