MSDE - DORS - Office Blind & Vision Services seeks an Assistant Director to lead the statewide Independent Living Older Blind Program within the Division of Rehabilitation Services. The role directs performance goals for Independent Living Specialists, manages a $1 million budget, and ensures federal compliance.

The position is located in Baltimore, Maryland with hybrid schedule options and requires extensive experience in rehabilitation services for blind or low-vision clients, including

Competenze

• Five years of professional specialized experience in rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation, or teaching services to clients with disabilities.
• Two years of the required experience must include direct supervision of professional rehabilitation services employees.
• At least two years of professional experience providing rehabilitation counseling or vocational evaluation services to clients with blindness or low vision.
• Consent to State Police Investigation and fingerprinting.
