Job summary

AristaCare Meadow Springs is seeking an Assistant Director of Respiratory to assist the Director in overseeing daily operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department and ensuring high-quality care for residents. The role includes supervision, staff development, and collaboration with physicians and nursing leadership.

Requirements include an RRT credential, active state license, 5+ years as a Respiratory Therapist, and at least 1 year in leadership.

Qualifications

Must possess a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
Must possess an active state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
Must have at least 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy management or leadership.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily operations, staffing, scheduling, and workflow of the Respiratory Therapy Department.
Assist in supervising, training, and evaluating respiratory therapy staff.
Support the Director in compliance with CMS, OSHA, and infection control standards.
Develop, implement, and monitor respiratory care plans.
Provide and oversee respiratory treatments (oxygen, ventilator, aerosols, tracheostomy care).
Collaborate with physicians and nursing leadership on patient care plans.
Monitor documentation and charting in the EMR.
Participate in quality improvement and reduce hospital readmissions.
