Job summary

Powerback Rehabilitation in Maryland is seeking an Assistant Director of Rehab (or In-Training Director) to support the Director of Rehab in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services across our locations, while ensuring efficient operations and optimal patient outcomes.

The role includes team leadership, direct patient care, adherence to Medicare and regulatory standards, and providing clinical education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a rehabilitation discipline is required; Master's degree preferred.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum 3 years' direct patient care experience and 1 year management in rehab.
• Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with staff, patients, families, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to effectively coach and motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Rehab in overseeing operations at assigned location(s).
• Provide direct patient care (up to 50% or more depending on location).
• Monitor clinical services to ensure evidence-based care and compliance.
• Support staff by identifying barriers and providing clinical education.
• Cover Director of Rehab duties in their absence.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Director of Rehab (or In-Training Director of Rehab) is responsible for assisting the Director of Rehab in successful operations of her/his assigned location(s) - ensuring the highest standard of rehabilitation services is delivered in the most efficient manner while obtaining the best possible outcomes for our patients.

• Assist with managing a team of therapists and assistants (including Powerback Rehabilitation staff and contract labor)
• Provide direct patient care (up to 50% of the day or more depending on location)
• Assist the Director of Rehab with monitoring the standard of clinical services delivered to ensure adherence to evidence-based care delivery standards and regulatory compliance
• Assist therapy staff in identifying and removing barriers to treatment and providing clinical education to meet the needs of the patient
• Cover duties of Director of Rehab in her/his absence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a rehabilitation discipline (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology) required; Master's degree preferred
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice
• Minimum of 3 years' direct patient care experience and 1 year management experience in a rehabilitation setting preferred
• Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third party billing required
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and problem solve appropriately
• Must possess the ability to positively interact with personnel, patients, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and general public
• Must possess the ability to effectively manage/motivate staff.

Posted Salary Range

USD $70,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
