Assistant Director, Radiology – Hutch Campus

Are you ready to lead with purpose and drive excellence in outpatient radiology services? We’re seeking a dynamic Assistant Director of Radiology to oversee daily operations and performance at our Hutch campus. Reporting to the Assistant Administrator of Ambulatory Operations and in close collaboration with the Medical Director, this strategic leader will manage operations, business development, financial performance, and staff engagement—ensuring a high-quality, patient-centered experience.

As a key liaison between internal teams and our outpatient referring network, the Assistant Director plays a vital role in advancing clinical excellence, optimizing resource utilization, and expanding service capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of outpatient radiology in a collaborative, data-driven, and innovative-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations at the Hutch campus, including supervision of technologists, administrative staff, physician assistants, and support personnel.
• Collaborate with the Director of Finance to develop budgets, control costs, and optimize financial performance.
• Maximize clinical efficiency and resource utilization using lean methodology and data-driven decision-making.
• Foster a culture of quality, safety, and excellence by mentoring both technical and non-technical teams.
• Partner with key departments to uphold and exceed Joint Commission, NYS DOH, and ACR standards.
• Serve as a core member of Radiology leadership councils, contributing expertise to the development of supplies, capital planning, and service contracts.
• Champion a patient-centered culture by aligning clinical operations with service excellence and patient experience goals.
• Lead cross-functional projects to standardize processes, enhance workflow, and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with licensure, certifications, and regulatory guidelines.
• Build strong relationships with physicians, staff, and stakeholders to align operations with strategic goals and ensure top-tier patient care.

Qualifications:

• Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
• Education Preferred: Master’s Degree
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in radiology operations, including leadership experience in an outpatient or acute care setting
• Certification: ARRT registered
• Strong understanding of financial management and budget analysis
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex operations, and drive measurable improvements in performance and patient satisfaction
