Job summary

Majestic Care of Manchin seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to help lead our nursing team. The role supports the DNS, oversees care delivery, and ensures regulatory compliance while fostering compassionate resident care.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, have at least three years of nursing experience with one year in a supervisory role, and are capable of CPR within 30 days. Join us to advance quality care and team development.

Qualifications

Current RN license by State Board of Nursing in good standing.
Long-term care or geriatric population experience preferred.
At least 3 years of nursing experience and 1 year supervision required.
CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire; CPR active during employment.

Responsibilities

Assist in interviewing applicants and schedule staffing; support DNS.
Participate in orientation and in-service education for staff.
Assist with performance reviews and personnel files; enforce policies, including discipline.
Help ensure regulatory-compliant documentation by physicians and nurses; implement policies.
Assist with the care planning process and rounds to direct care teams.
Observe hazards and service delivery; address issues promptly.
Support CQI activities and corrective follow-up actions.
Daily unit rounds to report status changes and outcomes.
Complete chart audits under DNS and suggest improvements.
Maintain infection control techniques and safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with residents' families and staff.
