Job summary

The Blossoms, located in Mississippi, seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead the nursing department and oversee patient care. The role requires RN licensure, strong supervision skills, and adherence to federal and state guidelines for long-term care.

You will work with the Director of Nursing Services to monitor activities, communicate changes clearly to staff and families, and maintain a high standard of care with professional communication in English.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
• Nursing degree (BSN preferred).
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to the nursing department.
• Work under the Director of Nursing Services.
• Monitor nursing activities and communicate changes to staff and families as needed.
• Exhibit tact and respect when interacting with staff, residents, families, visitors, and government personnel.

Educational Requirements:

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state
• Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university (B.S.N. preferred)
• CPR certification

Position Requirements:

• Provide leadership and supervision to the nursing department
• Work under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services
• Monitor nursing activities and communicate any changes to staff and family members as needed
• Exhibit tact and respect when interacting with staff, residents, family members, visitors, and government agencies/personnel
• Possess a thorough understanding of nursing and medical practices and procedures, including relevant state laws, regulations, and guidelines for long-term care
• Proficient in written and verbal communication in the English language
