Job summary

Emerald Healthcare in Omaha, NE is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee nursing services and support the Director of Nursing. The ADON will ensure patient care quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient staffing, while mentoring RNs, LPNs, and CNAs and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.

This is a full-time, salary role with rotating on-call duties and day shifts 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN with Nebraska license required.
• BSN preferred.
• 1-2 years nursing experience in long-term care or skilled facility.
• Previous supervisory/management experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required; Gerontology related certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and assist DON in planning and evaluating nursing practices.
• Monitor resident health and adjust care plans to ensure high-quality care.
• Supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs; support recruitment, training and evaluation.
• Foster collaboration with team meetings and professional development.
• Ensure care aligns with individual care plans and addresses concerns.
• Participate in care conferences and communicate with residents, families and teams.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and prepare for inspections.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and analyze clinical data.
• Develop nursing policies and coordinate with other departments.
