Chesterton Manoris seeking a dedicated and experiencedAssistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/Wound Nurseto join our 95-bed skilled nursing facility inChesterton, IN.

Position Highlights

• Role: Assistant Director of Nursing/Wound Nurse
• Employment Type:Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Nursing Service Department.
• Interview and screen potential residents during the admission process.
• Ensure accurate documentation of treatments, medications, and residents’ conditions through regular review of nurses’ notes.
• Conduct daily rounds to observe resident care and provide leadership and guidance to the team.
• Collaborate with physicians and interact with residents as needed.
• Support the Resident Assessment/Care Plan Coordinator in planning and revising MDS processes, including RAPs and triggers.

• See patients for diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, and surgical/chronic pressure wounds and proivde treatments plans

Qualifications

• CurrentRegistered Nurse (RN) license
• At least one year of leadership experience in a long-term care setting as an ADON or DON.
• Previous experience working with the geriatric population preferred
• Wound Certified Nurse preferred
