Job summary

Optima Care Fountains in Secaucus, NJ seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON RN) to help develop and implement nursing care standards aligned with regulations and the Center’s goals.

The role includes partnering with the Director of Nursing to evaluate care quality, oversee staff performance, and ensure MDS and care plans meet regulatory requirements, with emphasis on supervision and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an active NJ RN license.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing.
• Minimum 1 year in a management/administrative or supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the director of nursing to assess and improve the Center's nursing practices.
• Evaluate resident care and staff performance daily and ensure policy compliance.
• Operate in accordance with federal and state regulations governing nursing care.
• Assist in conducting employees' performance reviews.
• Ensure timely completion of MDS and resident care plans in line with policies.

Job description

Optima Care Fountains, a 334 bed-skilled nursing facility in Secaucus, New Jersey, seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON RN) to assist and participate in the development, organization and implementation of the philosophy, objectives, policies, procedures and standards of nursing care in accordance with regulation and with the Center’s goals. Additional responsibilities include:

• working closely with the director of nursing to assess the quality of nursing care being delivered and make improvements or changes to the Center’s nursing practices accordingly
• evaluating resident care, individual employees’ progress and general nursing practices daily and ensuring that the Center adheres to all codes and policies
• operating in accordance with the legal aspects of nursing and all federal and state regulations
• assisting in conducting employees’ performance reviews
• ensuring that MDS and resident care plans are completed in a timely manner and comply with all nursing Center/regulatory policies

ADON RN JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current registered nurse licensure by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing; BSN is preferred
• Minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing
• Minimum of one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred
