Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Educator

The Triboro Center is actively seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as the ADON Educator at our Skilled Nursing Facility. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Long-Term Care setting and a strong background in both nursing leadership and staff education.

DUTIES:

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) with management responsibilities and ensure quality of care.
• Lead staff education programs and serve as the Infection Control Officer.
• Assist with compliance and maintain effective communication across all levels of nursing staff.
• Address the nursing and medical needs of all residents.
• Coordinate and direct the planning and delivery of nursing services.
• Ensure that staff’s skills remain current and up-to-date with nursing standards.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
• Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical records.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff.
• Supervise nursing staff conduct and ensure adherence to facility policies.
• Provide ongoing support to RNs, helping them develop and maintain competencies.
• Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs.
• Assist in assessing the health needs of each resident and monitor incidents within the facility.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current New York RN license required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings.
• 2 years of management experience preferred.
• 1 year of staff education experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Evidence of basic leadership and supervisory skills.
• Flexible hours required.
• Infection Preventionist Certificate required to be obtained within 3-6 months of employment.

Compensation: $105,000 - $120,000
