Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities, Inc. in Gainesville, GA is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead orientation and ongoing in-service education for nursing staff, oversee infection control as infection preventionist, and support the Director of Nursing with administrative duties.

The ideal candidate holds a current RN license, has at least five years of clinical experience in long-term care, and has experience with in-service education and nursing supervision.

Qualifications

• Current State RN license is required.
• Minimum five years of clinical experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Experience with in-service education for nursing staff.
• Clinical supervisory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal and State long-term care regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate new hire orientation programs for nursing staff.
• Oversee in-service/clinical education and staff training; act as infection preventionist.
• Assist the Director of Nursing with management and administrative functions.

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in our skilled nursing neighborhood.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating new hire orientation programs, educational in-service/clinical programs, and training for all nursing personnel. Oversees the infection control program as a designated infection preventionist to comply with Federal and State regulations, and to provide training to nursing staff. Assists the Director of Nursing (DON) with management and administrative functions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Current State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of five years’ clinical experience; preferably in a long-term care setting
• Experience with in-service education
• Clinical supervisory experience is preferred
• Knowledge of principles of nursing care, and Federal and State regulations governing long-term care facilities
