Job summary

Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, located in New Hyde Park, NY, seeks a full-time RN to serve as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). The ADON will oversee nursing staff, ensure high-quality patient care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

The role reports to the Clinical Director of Nursing and drives standards of care. This leadership position requires an active NY RN license, a BSN or higher, and at least 3 years in medical/surgical, rehab, or long-term

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license required.
• BSN or higher preferred.
• 3+ years of RN experience in medical/surgical, rehab, or long-term care.
• Prior supervisory/management experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability; ability to lead teams and empower staff.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Full Time Position

Parker Jewish Institute is seeking a full time Registered Nurse (RN) Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team of professionals in the Nursing department. The ADON reports to the Clinical Director of Nursing and is responsible for overall responsibility of care given to the patients by the nursing staff.

This is a key leadership role, providing leadership, staff support and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure that standards of quality care are achieved on a consistent basis.

Position Qualifications:

• New York State RN license
• Degree in Nursing or a related field; BSN a plus
• 3+ years of experience as an RN in a medical/surgical, rehab or long-term care environment
• Prior Supervisory or Management experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated leadership ability; ability to lead teams and empower staff
• Communicates effectively with others; is cooperative and helpful
