Midtown Center for Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an RN for our ADON position to partner with the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily operations and mentoring staff.

The role focuses on clinical excellence, staff development, and ensuring high standards across all nursing services with on-call availability and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Long-Term Care.
• 2+ years of management experience preferred.
• 1 year of staff education experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership ability.
• Flexible hours to meet resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Meet the nursing medical needs of all residents.
• Coordinate infection control activities.
• Educate nursing staff and maintain clinical knowledge.
• Assist with compliance and maintain effective communication with all nursing levels.
• On-call availability 24 hours.
• Direct the total planning for nursing services.
• Maintain knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Ensure accurate and timely medical records completion.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new staff.
• Oversee daily staffing and scheduling.
• Maintain schedule flexibility to address unpredictable needs.

DUTIES:

• Meet the nursing medical needs of all residents

• Responsible for coordinating infection control

• Responsible for educating the staff

• Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff

• 24 hours on call

• Coordinate and direct the total planning for nursing services

• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice

• Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical records

• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff

• Oversee the daily staffing process

• Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current RN license required

• Min. 2 yrs. exp. in Long-Term Care settings

• 2 years of management experience preferred

• 1 year of staff education experience preferred

• Excellent Communication Skills required

• Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision

• Flexible hours required
