Midtown Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Memphis seeks an experienced RN for the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) role to lead our clinical team alongside the Director of Nursing.

The ADON will oversee daily nursing operations, mentor staff, manage infection control, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high-quality resident care. On-site with on-call duties and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care settings.
• 2 years of management experience preferred.
• 1 year of staff education experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Evidence of basic leadership and supervision.
• Flexible hours required.

Responsibilities

• Meet the nursing medical needs of all residents.
• Coordinate infection control and educate staff.
• Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with nursing staff.
• Be on call 24 hours.
• Coordinate and direct total planning for nursing services.
• Maintain knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
• Ensure accurate, timely medical records completion.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new staff.
• Oversee daily staffing and adapt to schedule needs.

DUTIES:

• Meet the nursing medical needs of all residents

• Responsible for coordinating infection control

• Responsible for educating the staff

• Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff

• 24 hours on call

• Coordinate and direct the total planning for nursing services

• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice

• Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical records

• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff

• Oversee the daily staffing process

• Maintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current RN license required

• Min. 2 yrs. exp. in Long-Term Care settings

• 2 years of management experience preferred

• 1 year of staff education experience preferred

• Excellent Communication Skills required

• Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision

• Flexible hours required
