Lutheran Services Carolinas is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support person-centered resident care. You will work with the Director of Nursing to lead nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

You will supervise staff, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and cover leadership duties when needed. This role offers an opportunity to impact resident outcomes in a supportive senior living environment.

Qualificações

• RN with licensure from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of two years of geriatric care and supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise nursing staff and participate in committees (QAPI).

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a set schedule and participate in on-call responsibilities, including a 24-hour call.
• Help establish, interpret, and implement nursing service philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise nursing personnel to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Serve on facility committees, including the QAPI Committee, as assigned.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teammates to support residents’ needs.
• Act as liaison with licensed personnel for consultation and decision-making.
• Conduct daily rounds, nursing observations, and assessments as indicated.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency care and safety programs.
• Perform duties of Nursing Supervisor/Charge Nurse as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies.

Position Details

• Pay rate: $43 per hr.
• Schedule: Full-time Monday–Friday, with rotating on call requirements
• Additional $2/hour if teammate opts out of benefits
• Benefit eligibility (medical, PTO, etc.) start after 30 days
• Free medical insurance option ($0 premium)

Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) works with the Director of Nursing to support person-centered resident care in alignment with LSC’s philosophy, objectives, policies, and standards. The ADON serves as a leader and role model for nursing personnel and assumes responsibility for the Director of Nursing’s duties in their absence or as assigned.

• Maintain a set schedule and participate in on-call responsibilities, including a proportionate share of 24-hour call.
• Help establish, interpret, and implement nursing service philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise nursing personnel to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Serve on facility committees, including the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee, as assigned.
• Collaborate with physicians, consultants, and interdisciplinary teammates to support residents’ physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
• Act as a liaison with licensed personnel for consultation and decision-making.
• Conduct daily rounds, nursing observations, and assessments as indicated.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency care, disaster and evacuation procedures, and safety programs.
• Perform the duties of Nursing Supervisor, Charge Nurse, Staff Nurse, or Director of Nursing when required.
• Ensure compliance with current state and federal regulations, as well as LSC policies, procedures, and philosophies.
• Participate in nursing department staffing, interviewing, hiring, coaching, evaluations, and disciplinary processes as needed.
• Monitor the restorative nursing, infection control, and QAPI programs as assigned.
• Participate in required educational programs.
• Reflect LSC’s mission, vision, values, and customer service standards in daily interactions.
• Complete other assigned duties necessary for the orderly operation of the facility.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of two years of geriatric care and supervisory experience preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Push, pull, or lift up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Stand or walk for extended periods, with occasional bending and reaching.
• Assist with repositioning and transferring residents while following safe lifting procedures.
