Job summary

Wesleyan Village is seeking a compassionate and professional Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to work with the DON in supporting the nursing department functions of our 99-bed Skilled Nursing Facility. This full-time nursing leadership role requires an RN licensed in Ohio and prior ADON experience in a skilled nursing setting.

The ADON will ensure regulatory compliance, assist with budgeting and implement quality improvement and infection prevention programs to elevate resident care

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to engage with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Must have an RN license valid in Ohio.
• Experience as ADON in Skilled Nursing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nursing personnel comply with standards and regulatory requirements for resident care quality.
• Assist in development and implementation of nursing department budgets.
• Implement compliance and quality improvement policies and procedures.
• Oversee infection surveillance, reporting and infection prevention measures.
• Develop evidence-based infection prevention policies and standards meeting regulatory requirements.
• Act as resource and educator to influence infection prevention improvements.

As Assistant Director of Nursing, you can take advantage of a unique opportunity to help us reach our goal of becoming a premier facility. This position is full-time and candidates must be a Registered Nurse.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ADON:

• Ensure that all nursing personnel in our facility comply with established standards, practices, and regulatory requirements for the highest quality of resident care.

• Support the development and implementation of nursing department budgets in coordination with the facility administration.

• Implementing compliance and quality improvement policies, programs and procedures.

• Is responsible for surveillance, rounding, analyzing, interpreting and the reporting of healthcare-associated infections

• Supports the development of evidence-based organizational infection prevention policies/standards that meet state, federal, regulatory and accrediting agencies standard

• Leads in infection prevention and serves as a resource, educator, researcher and proponent of change in order to influence infection prevention improvement to provide quality health care within the organization

REQUIREMENTS OF ADON:

• As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you must possess strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with patients, families, physicians, community resources, and the general public.

• Associate degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited school of nursing.

• Must have a valid Ohio RN license

• Minimum 1 year experience as an ADON in Skilled Nursing experience may be considered
