Job summary

Buckeye Terrace is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the DON and lead nursing department operations in our rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility in Westerville, OH. The ADON role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality resident care and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include budgeting, policy implementation, infection prevention leadership, and providing staff education.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with patients, families, physicians, community resources and the general public.
• Associate degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have a valid RN license.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an ADON preferred; Unit Manager/Nursing Supervisor in Long Term Care experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all nursing personnel comply with established standards, practices, and regulatory requirements for the highest quality of resident care.
• Support the development and implementation of nursing department budgets in coordination with the facility administration.
• Implementing compliance and quality improvement policies, programs, and procedures.
• Surveillance, rounding, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections.
• Develop evidence-based infection prevention policies and standards that meet state, federal, regulatory, and accrediting agencies standards.
• Lead in infection prevention and serve as a resource, educator, researcher and proponent of change to improve infection prevention and care.
