Ridgecrest Health & Rehab in DeLand, FL is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee nursing operations and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. This leadership role focuses on quality resident care and staff development within a collaborative team environment.

The ADON will supervise administrative and clinical functions, coordinate infection control, and support the Director of Nursing to maintain high standards of care and regulatory compliance for our residents

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of three years nursing experience.
• Experience in Long Term Care Nursing.
• 1–2 years management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Meet the nursing medical needs of all residents
• Coordinate infection control
• Educate the staff
• Ensure effective communication across all levels of nursing staff

Summary of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

The Assistant Director of Nursing will manage administrative and functional areas or programs within the Nursing Department. The ADON supports the overall operation of the facility, assuring adherence to company policies, standards of nursing practices, and government regulations, in order to promote the highest quality care for our residents and patients.

Requirements of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

• Registered Nurse in good standing with required current Florida state license.
• Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience.
• Experience in Long Term Care Nursing.
• One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Must have a current/active CPR certification.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions.
