Job summary

Midtown Oaks Health & Rehab Center in Altoona, PA seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in coordinating daily nursing services within a SNF setting. You will work with leadership to ensure top-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

The role requires an active RN license, at least two years of supervisory experience, and comfort with electronic health records. This full-time position offers day shifts and a competitive wage based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum two years supervisory experience in healthcare, preferably long-term care.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate EHR software.

Position Summary:

The primary function of the Assistant Director of Nursing is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, managing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the SNF Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing will work alongside the Director of Nursing with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work or licensed as an LPN if the state you operate in allows.

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a hospital, nursing facility or other related healthcare facility, preferably in long term care.

• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
