Job summary

The Villa at Texarkana is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing for a Monday–Friday, 8–5 full-time management role with strong benefits. Long-term care experience is preferred and expected to guide all clinical operations.

Key duties include infection control, weights-related tasks, weekly supply ordering, PCC usage, physician/NP rounding, admissions oversight with 72-hour follow-up, med consents, order entry, MAR accuracy, and staff check-offs; participates in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Infection control duties and compliance are essential.
• Experience with weight-related procedures and documentation.
• Weekly supply ordering and inventory awareness.
• Familiarity with Point Click Care software is preferred.
• Rounding with physicians and NPs as needed; leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all admissions and readmissions with 72-hour follow-up.
• Obtain medication consents and communicate orders to physicians.
• Enter orders, ensure MAR is complete and printed.
• Execute staff check-offs and participate in nurse on-call rotations.
• Coordinate infection control and other nursing operations.

Related job duties include: all aspects of infection control; all duties related to weights; weekly supply ordering; understanding of Point Click Care; rounding with physicians and NP as needed; oversees all admissions and re-admissions- following for 72 hours; obtain med consents; call MD for orders and entry of orders, print and assure MAR is in place; completes all staff check-offs; included in nurse on-call rotation; all other assignments as requested
