Advanced Hiring System in Amsterdam, NY is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADON) to join our skilled nursing facility's administration team. You will support the Director of Nursing, supervise staff, monitor infection control, and coordinate staff development. Requirements: valid NYS RN license and teaching/in-service experience.

Preferred: familiarity with Point Click Care. This is an in-person, full-time role with a Monday–Friday 8-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Teaching/in-service experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in daily administration and rounds.
• Monitor infection control procedures and policies.
• Develop staff training, orientation, and continuing education.
• Coordinate care plans and assess resident needs.

Job description

We are looking to find an Assistant Director of Nursing Services to join the nursing administration team at our skilled nursing facility in Amsterdam, NY!

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in day-to-day administrative function
• Make written or oral reports to necessary personnel
• Monitor and maintain the infection control procedures and policies of the facility as the Infection Prevention Specialist
• Participate in the developing, planning, conducting, and scheduling of staff development classes, training, and orientation
• Review and revise care plans and assessments as needed
• Make rounds of the nursing service department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work duties
• Monitor absenteeism to maintain an adequate number of nursing care personnel
• Maintain a liaison with the residents, their families, support departments, etc.

Assistant Director of Nursing Services Requirements

• Valid NYS RN license
• Teaching/in-service experience

Preferred

• Previous experience withPoint Click Careis a plus!
