Job summary

Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility in Amsterdam, NY is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing Services to support the nursing administration team in a skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities include assisting the DON, infection control, staff development, care plan reviews, and rounds to ensure quality care.

Requirements include a valid NYS RN license and teaching/in-service experience. Preferred familiarity with Point Click Care.

Qualifications

We are looking to find an Assistant Director of Nursing Services to join the nursing administration team at our skilled nursing facility in Amsterdam, NY!

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in day-to-day administrative function

• Make written or oral reports to necessary personnel

• Monitor and maintain the infection control procedures and policies of the facility as the Infection Prevention Specialist

• Participate in the developing, planning, conducting, and scheduling of staff development classes, training, and orientation

• Review and revise care plans and assessments as needed

• Make rounds of the nursing service department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work duties

• Monitor absenteeism to maintain an adequate number of nursing care personnel

• Maintain a liaison with the residents, their families, support departments, etc.

Assistant Director of Nursing Services Requirements

• Valid NYS RN license

• Teaching/in-service experience
