Job summary

Imperial Healthcare Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director in managing nursing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure quality care for residents while overseeing staff education and compliance initiatives. A valid RN license and supervisory experience in a healthcare setting are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a current and valid RN License issued by the State of New Jersey.
• At least 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a long-term care facility or hospital.
• Bachelor of Nursing is preferred, IV Certification is preferred.

Full job descriptionAssist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility in order to provide the highest quality of care to the residents.PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Function as Staff Educator: Ensure all staff meets all required in-service education and documentation requirementsStaff DevelopmentParticipates the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Programs in the facilityLeads the orientation program in the facilityInvolve in the Compliance CommitteeActs as a Director of Nursing in her behalf during her absenceDirects and supervises staff to ensure quality care is administeredQualifications:Must have a current and valid RN License issued by the State of New JerseyMust have a current and valid CPR/BLS Certification issued by American Heart AssociationMust have at least 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a long-term care facility or hospitalBachelor of Nursing is preferredIV Certification is preferred
