The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Charter Senior Living leads daily nursing operations, mentors caregiving staff, and partners with the Director of Nursing to ensure resident wellness, regulatory compliance, and excellent clinical outcomes.

This hands-on leadership role requires an active RN or LPN license, 1–2 years in nursing leadership or supervision, and experience in assisted living or memory care; a compassionate, organized approach is essential to thriving in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN or RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
• Assisted living, memory care, or long-term care experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of resident care, medication management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight of daily clinical operations and resident care services.
• Support resident assessments, care plans, and wellness monitoring.
• Assist with medication management and clinical documentation processes.
• Help supervise, mentor, and support caregiving and medication staff.
• Monitor resident condition changes and communicate appropriately with physicians and families.
• Support staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and training efforts.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, company policies, and clinical standards.
• Assist with survey readiness and quality assurance initiatives.
• Promote resident dignity, safety, independence, and quality of life.
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and department leaders.

Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supports the overall clinical operations of the community to ensure residents receive compassionate, high-quality, and individualized care.
