Samaritan's Purse is seeking an Assistant Director, Ministry Process & IT Project Management to join the Operation Christmas Child team in Boone, NC. This full-time role leads project managers, guides IT initiatives, and improves ministry impact through data-driven solutions.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong IT project experience, and a commitment to gospel-centered work. Travel will be 35–40 days per year; language: English required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7–10 years of related project management experience.
• 12 college credit hours in Biblical Studies (required; may be completed after hire).
• Comprehensive knowledge of IT projects, programs, and testing.
• Strong project management and data analysis skills.
• Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and write proposals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT partners to develop, launch and manage strategic initiatives for OCC.
• Lead a team of project managers delivering key initiatives.
• Design and implement IT solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Manage new product rollout and system upgrades; define user stories and testing plans.
• Provide leadership for data analytics, dashboards, data integration, and reporting standards.
• Set training plans and create user guides for IT systems.
• Travel: 35–40 days annually; support travel documentation and vaccinations as required.

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking an Assistant Director, Ministry Process & IT Project Management to join our Operation Christmas Child team in Boone, NC.

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ


• Collaborate with IT partners to develop, launch, and manage strategic short and long-term initiatives for OCC and lead a team of project managers in the delivery of key initiatives


• Design and implement solutions to organizational challenges to drive operational efficiency and maximize ministry impact


• Manage new product rollout and system upgrades and direct user story definition, accept testing plans, and validate projects before rollout


• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for data analytics and geospatial systems including providing direction for dashboard development, data integration, and reporting standards ensuring alignment with ministry goals and data integrity


• Set the plans and standards for training staff and documenting IT systems and work with project managers to ensure software rollouts include clear user guides and consistent support resources


• Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and seven to ten years related experience and/or training in project management; or equivalent combination of education and experience


• 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire


• Comprehensive knowledge of IT projects, programs, and testing


• Project management and data analysis skills


• Ability to conduct research, analyze data and write proposals
